Meet API Service Level SC/CC

Gard® Mild Detergent Engine Oils are manufactured from highly refined, hydro-treated napthenic base oils selected for their clarity, resistance to oxidation, purity and thermal stability.  These lubricants are then blended with detergent-dispersant  additives to meet minimum detergency requirements of API Service SC/CC.

Recommended for gasoline engines in older automobiles where high detergency is not required or where consumption or leakage is high and the need for economical lubrication is more important than long range detergent protection.  Mixes safely with modern motor oils.

 May also be used in other applications such as pumps, hydraulic lifts, compressors, drip lubricating systems, oil bath air cleaners, foam air cleaners, general lubrication in homes, farm or industry or any other lubricating or hydraulic applications where non-detergent or mild detergent mineral oils are recommended.  Check owner’s manual for specific applications and grade.
