Gard Motor Oils are premium quality, multi-grade and heavy duty mono-grade blends of high viscosity index paraffinic base stocks and high performance additives. They are designed to meet all domestic and foreign car manufacturers warranty for vehicles requiring SM motor oil.
Gard Oils are recommended for all passenger cars, light trucks, SUV’s and any turbocharged engines specifying an API service SM, SL, SJ, SH or earlier engine oils.

Gard Mild Detergent Engine Oils are manufactured from highly refined, hydro-treated naphthenic base oils selected for their clarity, resistance to oxidation, purity and thermal stability. These lubricants are then blended with detergent-dispersant additives to meet minimum detergency requirements of API Service SC/CC.
Recommended for gasoline engines in older automobiles where high detergency is not required or where consumption or leakage is high and the need for economical lubrication is more important than long range detergent protection. Mixes safely with modern motor oils.
May also be used in other applications such as pumps, hydraulic lifts, compressors, drip lubricating systems, oil bath air cleaners, foam air cleaners, general lubrication in homes, farm or industry or any other lubricating or hydraulic applications where non-detergent or mild detergent mineral oils are recommended. Check owner’s manual for specific applications and grade.
