ROOFING ASPHALT is a scrupulously controlled product at Cross Oil. Unlike gasoline refiners who change crudes almost daily, Cross maintains a uniform blend of select naphthenic crudes for consistent asphalt properties. Because Cross Oil is ISO 9001 Certified, all refining procedures are followed to the letter. As a result, only minor variations occur in Cross Roofing Asphalt, which is monitored on a constant basis. The unique combination of naphthenic and aromatic components in Cross Roofing Asphalt provides high ductility, excellent low temperature flex-bend properties, and high Penetration relative to Softening Point. This means, for example, that roofing shingles manufactured from Cross Roofing Asphalt possess superior flexibility, when subjected to cold temperatures. Consequently, the roof is less subject to damage. Cross Roofing Asphalt is a product in which we take great pride.

ASPHALT FLUX is the final product in crude oil distillation. At Cross Oil we maintain uniform conditions in our vacuum tower, enabling the production of consistent Asphalt Flux. Since our crudes are continuously blended for exact composition, Cross Asphalt Flux exhibits a high degree of uniformity in Penetration, Softening Point and viscosity. This means that top quality products can be made from this key ingredient with greater ease and lower over-all expense.
